BacKan Surgical Mission, December 2017 - Triage
Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Van Toan Ngo and the doctors in resident examined the patients with congenital defects to determine if an operation was needed.
BacKan 2017 - In the Operating Room
The surgeons worked efficiently. The doctors, interns, nurses, and staff were in sync with one another. The shortest operation lasted about 20 minutes, and the longest about one hour and a half.
BacKan 2017 - Post-op
The envelope in these pictures contains a small donation to pay for the return bus ride to the patients' home villages. During their hospital stay, the children and their family members received free food (porridge) and warm clothing for the BacKan chili winter weather.
